Over the past couple of weeks, our class has been busy promoting Keenooshayo's annual food bank drive. 3T students appeared on the announcements each morning in order to raise awareness of the need for food bank donations. The kids were excited to give back to their community, worked hard at practicing their announcement scripts, and did an awesome job! Our hard work culminated in an assembly, hosted by all the grade three's, with the theme of kindness, mindfulness, and food bank awareness, featuring a speaker from the St. Albert Food Bank. Damon and Logan, along with Ms. Mindful, started us out with a mindfulness exercise. Then, the grade three classes performed a song about making a difference. (Pic and video from the dress rehearsal.) We ended up collecting a ton of food for the St. Albert Food Bank! The total collected was 965 pounds! Great Work Keeno!

Last Thursday, we attended the St. Albert Sabres vs Winnipeg's Rink Hockey Academy game of the John Reid Memorial Tournament at Servus Place. St. Albert lost 7-3, but that didn't stop us from having a good time!
